This is my take on the product:
I got these for my Husband to try out. He works in a blue collar job and is on his feet up to twelve hours a day. He needs all the extra foot support he can get. He has two pairs of work boots he alternates between days. These were put in his spare pair. He tested them out and said they worked better than he expected. He mentioned how thin they were when he put them in his boots. He did have to trim them down a bit, which was easy because they have lines for trimming on them. He said they were very lightweight and didn't slip or shift around. He said they did work well but he wished they were a bit thicker especially in the front of the foot. He said the heel area was fine. They were breathable and didn't make his feet sweat. Overall not a bad insert for the price.
